Next Gen Summer Resident

Position Overview
The Next Gen Summer Residency is an 11-week intensive program designed to shape and equip young adults (ages 18–25) for ministry leadership. Residents will serve alongside experienced Kids and Youth ministry teams, participate in discipleship and leadership training, and gain hands-on experience in church operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ministry Assistance: Prepare lesson materials, lead small groups, help organize events, and develop relationships with children, students, and families.
  • Event Leadership: Assist in planning and leading major trips or camps (e.g., Camp Rock).
  • Team Collaboration: Work with fellow residents and church staff on day-to-day ministry activities.
  • Personal Development: Engage in weekly theological training, leadership workshops, and mentorship sessions to grow spiritually and professionally.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • College student or recent graduate (ages 18–25).
  • Recommendation from a pastor or spiritual mentor.
  • Committed to full-time participation throughout the program’s duration (June–July).
  • Demonstrates a heart for serving the church and a desire to grow in leadership and discipleship skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Stipend: Approx. $1,500 per month (final amount may vary)
  • Leadership Development: Practical ministry experience and training in Kids/Youth ministry contexts.
  • Mentorship: Weekly one-on-one meetings with a dedicated manager and access to seasoned ministry leaders.
  • Theological & Practical Training: Gain knowledge and skills for future ministry roles or service opportunities.

  • Requirements: Please include a Cover Letter and Resume with your application. In the cover letter, please let us know if you have a desire to enter into full-time ministry in the future, and how this internship could help you reach those goals.
  • Interviews: Conducted on a rolling basis; decisions made by March 2025.
  • Start Date: June 2025 (exact date to be confirmed)
