Campus Pastor

Job Summary:

The role of a Campus Pastor in a multi-site church involves overseeing the spiritual and operational aspects of a specific campus within the broader church network. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively minister to the congregation and lead the campus team. The Campus Pastor is responsible for fostering a vibrant community, implementing the church's vision and values, and ensuring the growth and development of both individuals and the campus as a whole.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage with and be visible to the entire congregation, focusing on nurturing and developing its members.
  • Build relationships with and invest in the broader community.
  • Facilitate and engage in the mobilization of the congregation Monday through Saturday
  • Collaborate with the central team and campus ministry leads to implement programs that align with the Church's mission.
  • Provide guidance, support, and direction to the assigned campus team.
  • Efficiently manage the Church's resources, including people, time, finances, and community engagement.
  • Participate in collaborative team environments such as Worship Design and Leadership Team.
  • Periodically create and deliver sermons reflecting the Church's mission.
  • Conduct weddings and funerals as required.
  • Maintain a focus on the Church's mission, vision, and values while fulfilling the above responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in theological studies, psychology, or related field.
  • In pursuit of or have a Masters's degree in seminary
  • 5 years minimum ministry experience with increasing levels of responsibility and ordination (or the intent to pursue ordination).
  • Skill in leading, motivating, and inspiring employees, congregation members, and volunteers.
  • Ability to represent the Church professionally and compassionately.
  • Capacity to handle confidential and sensitive information with professional judgment.
  • Skill in supporting others in their spiritual growth, whether in a professional or volunteer capacity.
  • Lead and collaborate with project teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring flawless execution and timely delivery.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in following oral or written instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform well under deadlines.
  • Capability to prioritize workflow, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt plans as needed.
