Fort Mill Kids Ministry (Preschool) Intern

Location: Fort Mill, SC

This position is responsible for supporting the Fort Mill Campus Kid’s ministry environments. This role will come alongside the Next Gen Director and Next Gen Kid’s staff to ensure effective ministry execution in all Kid’s environments but with a specific focus on Preschool. Perform duties that meet organizational mission, vision, values, and strategy. This is a 10-15 hour per week position and interns are required to attend intern meetings held at noon on the first Wednesday of each month.

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(includes but not limited to)

  • Ensure welcoming environment for families and children upon check-in
  • Prioritize prayer for the church, ministry, team, and congregation within our care
  • Spend 50% of your work hours with kids, students, or families to develop influential relationships with the Next Gen connected and disconnected from Jesus
  • Assist in creating and planning catalytic environments for the Clubhouse/Preschool, ensuring that the experience is fun, energetic, and all about Jesus
  • Seek opportunities for growth and development personally, spiritually, and professionally

Skills / Qualities / Knowledge Requirements:

Professional Knowledge:

  • Ability to work with and be a part of a team in a ministry environment
  • Ability to interact professionally and courteously with church staff and other ministry environments
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team

Communications / Management:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and ask for clarification when needed
  • Ability to process feedback and evaluations from weekend services
  • The duties of this position are driven by the mission and vision of the church
  • Must attend monthly intern meetings at the South Park campus at noon on the first Wednesday of each month

Education / Experience Requirements:

Must be at least a High School graduate
