The primary purpose of this role is to provide event planning support to the Connections and Outreach teams. Throughout every year we plan events for new guests, membership dinners, and various community building events, as well as, outreach drives and events with our partners. These all help connect people to one another and help connect the church to our community. We are looking for someone who is both social and detail oriented. This intern will work closely with the Connections director, connections volunteers and the outreach community. Interns are required to attend a lunch meeting the first Wednesday of each month at our South Park location.

Position Specific Duties:

• Serve Sunday mornings
• Meet with Connections weekly for development and to plan future events
• Keep track with the tasks and details of planning various events
• Build relationships with volunteers
• Help lead volunteer huddles
• Help identify potential new volunteers

• Assist in scheduling Sunday volunteers
• Willing to learn the church database and various programs that we use to organize and plan events.
• Participate in weekly team meetings and offsite meetings as needed

Education / Experience Requirements:

High School diploma. Associate or College Degree preferred.

This is a 10-15 hour per week paid position. Interns are required to attend a lunch meeting the first Wednesday of each month at our South Park location.
